Birchat HaShachar

Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who gave the heart discernment to distinguish between day and night.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who did not make me a Gentile.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who has also granted the Gentiles repentance unto life. Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who did not make me a slave.  (Men) Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who did not make me a woman. (Women) Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who made me according to his will. Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who opens [the eyes of] the blind.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who clothes the naked.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who releases the bound.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who straightens the bent.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who spreads out the land on the water.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who fulfills all my needs. Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who firms the steps of man.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who girds Israel with strength.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who crowns Israel with splendor.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who gives strength to the weary.  Blessed are you, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, who removes sleep from my eyes, and slumber from my eyelids. And may it be your will, Hashem our God and the God of our forefathers, that you accustomed us to your Torah, and attach us to your commandments. Do not lead us into the power of sin, nor into the power of transgression and wrongdoing, nor into the power of trial, nor into the power of scorn. Do not allow the evil inclination to rule over us. Keep us far from an evil person and an evil companion. Attach us to the good inclination and to good deeds, and force our [evil] inclination to be submissive to You. Grant us today, and every day, grace and kindness and mercy in your eyes, an in the eyes of all who see us, and bestow upon us loving kindnesses. Blessed are You, Hashem, who bestows loving kindnesses upon His people, Israel. May it be your will, Hashem my God and the God of my forefathers, that you deliver us today and every day from those who are arrogant and from arrogance itself, from an evil person, an evil companion, an evil neighbor, an evil event, from the destructive opposition, from a harsh judgment and from a harsh judge, whether he is a son of the covenant or whether he is not a son of the covenant.
