עלינועָלֵינוּ לְשַׁבֵּחַ לַאֲדוֹן הַכּל. לָתֵת גְּדֹֻלָּה לְיוֹצֵר בְּרֵאשִׁית. שֶׁלֹּא עָשָׂנוּ כְּגוֹיֵי הָאֲרָצוֹת. וְלֹא שׂמָנוּ כְּמִשְׁפְּחוֹת הָאֲדָמָה. שֶׁלֹּא שָׂם חֶלְקֵנוּ כָּהֶם וְגוֹרָלֵנוּ כְּכָל הֲמוֹנָם: (שֶׁהֵם מִשְׁתַּחֲוִים לְהֶבֶל וְרִיק וּמִתְפַּלְלִים אֶל אֵל לֹא יוֹשִׁיעַ:) וַאֲנַחְנוּ כּוֹרְעִים וּמִשְׁתַּחֲוִים וּמוֹדִים לִפְנֵי מֶלֶךְ מַלְכֵי הַמְּלָכִים הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא: שֶׁהוּא נוֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם וְיוֹסֵד אָרֶץ. וּמוֹשַׁב יְקָרוֹ בַּשָּׁמַיִם מִמַּעַל. וּשְׁכִינַת עֻזּוֹ בְּגָבְהֵי מְרוֹמִים:הוּא אֱלהֵינוּ אֵין עוֹד. אֱמֶת מַלְכֵּנוּ. אֶפֶס זוּלָתוֹ. כַּכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרָתוֹ. וְיָדַעְתָּ הַיּוֹם וַהֲשֵׁבֹתָ אֶל לְבָבֶךָ. כִּי יְיָ הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים בַּשָּׁמַיִם מִמַּעַל וְעַל הָאָרֶץ מִתָּחַת. אֵין עוֹד: עַל כֵּן נְקַוֶּה לְּךָ יְיָ אֱלהֵינוּ לִרְאות מְהֵרָה בְּתִפְאֶרֶת עֻזֶּךָ. לְהַעֲבִיר גִּלּוּלִים מִן הָאָרֶץ. וְהָאֱלִילִים כָּרות יִכָּרֵתוּן. לְתַקֵּן עולָם בְּמַלְכוּת שַׁדַּי. וְכָל בְּנֵי בָשר יִקְרְאוּ בִשְׁמֶךָ לְהַפְנות אֵלֶיךָ כָּל רִשְׁעֵי אָרֶץ. יַכִּירוּ וְיֵדְעוּ כָּל יושְׁבֵי תֵבֵל. כִּי לְךָ תִּכְרַע כָּל בֶּרֶךְ. תִּשָּׁבַע כָּל לָשׁון. לְפָנֶיךָ יְיָ אֱלהֵינוּ יִכְרְעוּ וְיִפּלוּ. וְלִכְבוד שִׁמְךָ יְקָר יִתֵּנוּ. וִיקַבְּלוּ כֻלָּם אֶת על מַלְכוּתֶךָ. וְתִמְלךְ עֲלֵיהֶם מְהֵרָה לְעולָם וָעֶד. כִּי הַמַּלְכוּת שֶׁלְּךָ הִיא וּלְעולְמֵי עַד תִּמְלךְ בְּכָבוד. כַּכָּתוּב בְּתורָתֶךָ. יְיָ יִמְלךְ לְעולָם וָעֶד:וְנֶאֱמַר. וְהָיָה יְיָ לְמֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ. בַּיּום הַהוּא יִהְיֶה יְיָ אֶחָד וּשְׁמו אֶחָד: |
AleinuIt is our duty to praise the Master of all, to ascribe greatness to the Molder of Creation. For He did not make us like the nations of the lands, and He did not place us like the families of the earth. For He did not set our portion like theirs, nor our lot like all their multitudes. For they bow to vanity and emptiness and pray to a god that cannot save. *But we bend our knees, bow and give thanks *before the King over kings of kings, the Holy One, blessed is He — the One Who stretched out the heavens and established the earth. The dwelling place of His honor is in the heavens above, and the Presence of His power is in the lofty heights. He is our God. There is no other. Our King is true; there is none beside Him. As it is written in His Torah: “And you shall know this day and take it to your heart that Hashem, He is the only God in the heavens above and upon the earth below. There is no other.” Therefore, we put our hope in You, Hashem our God, that we may quickly see the splendor of Your power, to remove abominations from the earth and false gods will be utterly cut off. In order to perfect the world through the kingship of Almighty. And all flesh will call upon Your name, to turn all the earth’s wicked toward You. All the world’s inhabitants will recognize and know that to You every knee should bend, every tongue should swear. Before You, Hashem, our God, they will bend their knee and cast themselves down and give honor to the glory of Your name. They will all accept the yoke of Your kingship and You will reign over them quickly and eternally. For the kingdom is Yours, and You will reign for all eternity in glory. As it is written in Your Torah: Hashem shall reign for all eternity. (Zechariah 14:9) And it is said: “And Hashem will be King over the whole earth. In that day, Hashem will be One, and His name will be One.” |

Ashrei (Psalm 145)Blessed are they who dwell in your house, may they always praise you, selah. (Psalm 84:4) Blessed are the people for whom this is so. (Psalm 144:15) A psalm of praise by David. I will extol you, my God, my King. I will bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and I will praise your name forever and ever. Great is Hashem and greatly to be praised. His greatness is unsearchable. Generation to generation will praise your deeds and your mighty works they will proclaim. On the splendrous glory of your majesty and your wondrous deeds I will meditate. Of your awesome power they will speak and your greatness I will declare. They will recall your abundant goodness and of your righteousness they will sing with joy. Gracious and compassionate is Hashem, slow to anger and abundantly kind. Hashem is good to all and his compassion is toward all His works. All your works shall thank you, Hashem, and your devout ones will bless you. Of the glory of your kingdom they will speak, and of your power they will relate. To make known to mankind his mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of his kingship. Your kingdom is a kingdom through all eternity, and your sovereignty is throughout each generation. Hashem supports all who have fallen and straightens all who are bent low. The eyes of everyone looks to you with anticipation and you give them their food in its proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. Hashem is righteous in all his ways, and faithful in all his works. Hashem is near to all who call on him, to all who sincerely call on him. The will of those who fear him he will do, and their cry he will hear and save them. Hashem protects all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. The praises of Hashem my mouth will speak and all flesh will bless his holy name forever and ever. We will bless Hashem from now and forever. Halleluyah! |
